“You can see exactly what's happening with the pest pressure in every single field in your farm without starting the car so and you are much more accurate. So, you can tell your spray man a go to the field tomorrow and spray these specific fields because another bad practice is as I see one capture in one of my traps. In one field, I spray the entire farm. And that's not right, you don't need it and you’re wasting money. But now with this technology you can spray this field but another one can wait …you can select which fields you need to prioritize”

“The dream is to have, like a very dense network of traps. But when you look at the price of these solutions it's complicated to make it an affordable business, profitable business for both parties. We have to add a margin to cover our costs … so price it to make this scalable. We have to provide an affordable price for growers. They struggled to invest in technologies if they don't see directly ROI before them.”

”We don't want complex hardware and software that we need to take care of on the field. I don't care about the hardware. I don't care at all. I don't want to be looking after the hardware. I want a company that setups the traps by themselves or have them provide me an easy one that I have just hanging on a tree and it's working. But I don't want complex tool that I need to stall.”

“I tell the remote sensing companies you don't have to be 100% accurate because I can guarantee you, we're not right. I mean, manually looking at traps , they're not difficult jobs, but they're not easy. There's a lot of bugs out there in the world. And if you're new to it, how do you tell them all apart? That's tough. Especially if something is sitting in a trap for a week and do and everything and Yellow Jackets picking out them and all that kind of stuff. So, it's not easy”

“We need these (digital) insights to look after our products, you know, because their efficacy is, is diminishing quicker than we'd like.” “New legislation is accelerating this because farmers will have to optimize …in the future as the legislation will be more restrictive, they will need to utilize the oil to spray the crop protection products in a much efficient way. And then this tool will become much more important. “

Frequently asked questions💡

We’re all about delta traps. We specialize in those to maximize accuracy and efficiency with our AI models. While we’re aware of other traps, we’re hyperfocusing on deltas to deliver the best performance.

Easy peasy. Each trap (we call them Minis) has a unique QR code. Scan it, and voila! Your trap is registered, and the system automatically does the healthcheck to see if everything is working as it should (saving you another field trip).

Need to order more traps first? Go to our website or speak to our team.

Our traps are on a strict photo-a-day diet—one snapshot every 24 hours for consistent, high-quality data. If you’ve got special research needs, we’re happy to discuss custom options. Just don’t ask for selfies—we leave the modeling to the pests. ;)

Our traps are as smart as they are tough. They adjust to environmental conditions like humidity, light, or temperature. For instance, if things get too steamy (humidity, not romance), the system might delay taking a photo to avoid foggy shots. We’re all about picture-perfect pest portraits to make sure our computer vision model does a great job.

Absolutely! With our platform, you can see the buzz in the field—interactive graphs, heatmaps, and historical data. Plus, you can group traps by block, crop, or pest type to tailor that to your needs. Think of it as a virtual pest detective kit.

We use encryption and secure data centers to ensure it’s safe from prying eyes.

You’re not buying the traps, you’re paying a subscription. For $69 per Mini per season, you’ll get everything—hardware, software, data storage, and support. No upfront costs.

The only thing you need to buy separately are sticky sheets and pheromones – you can use the same vendor as for your manual traps.

Of course! We’ve got all the tips and tricks to ensure your traps are in the sweet spot for catching the troublemakers. From crop-specific recommendations to video guides, we’ve got your back (and your fields). Read our knowledge base for more info.

Based on our customers feedback we were “the most responsive team they’ve ever worked with” so you can be sure we’ll be there every step of the way.

You can also use our website, video guides, printables or searchable knowledge base or chat with our chatbot (it has access to out knowledge base).

Yes – reach out to us to get the credentials and book the meeting – we can guide you through it and answer all your questions.

Just fire up our easy-peasy Android or iOS app or web platform

Our traps aren’t magic (yet). Tiny insects smaller than 1mm or large moths that fill up the sticky sheets too fast may not get the full scoutlabs treatment. But don’t worry—we’re a lab and always R&D-ing to up our pest game.

Our traps are designed to keep an eye on the usual suspects, like pheromone-attracted pests in high-value crops like almonds, pistachios, grapes, and apples.

While our tech could work with more insects, we focus on where we shine—keeping your specialty crops pest-free and thriving. We’re a lab, so we always have experiments going – reach out with your specific needs and let’s see if we can get the model up and running.

You bet! Our friendly API plays nice with platforms like AGVerdict, making your pest management as seamless as possible. Here’s our public API documentation.

Partially – we’ve preasemmbled the small parts, but you still need to put together the housing. It’s really easy and takes 50 seconds (26x faster assembly than competitors).

You’ll receive the traps folded flat. Our customers highlighted this as a huge advantage, as they can take more with them on the field to assemble them there and save time without constantly running back to the truck.

Nope, your subscription fee includes all of the data connectivity costs and we supply your Mini with a pre installed sim card that works around the planet.

You don’t need to visit the traps to count the pests or see if they’re working correctly – you can check everything remotely. The only field trip needed will be to replace the lure and sticky sheet (approximately once per month).

Images are validated by our fast computer vision models and checked by our team of entomologists and agronomists. We do that to ensure the new models have above 95% accuracy, then we slowly move into fully automated validation with occasional quality checks.

Rule of thumb – 1 sensor every 2ha or 5 acres, but it varies across different crops/pests. Check out our knowledge base for more info.

While that’s a great start, we recommend you go higher. Manual trapping is generally done in lower destiny because of human labour restrictions. Digital traps allow you to do the same amount of work with 80% less human labour – meaning they’re more affordable and save you time. By trapping more densely you get better data and further reduce pesticide use.

The reason we made scoutlabs minis so affordable is to get more traps on the field and get better data – it’s simply more efficient.
